MORE ABOUT THE CONNECTIONS CONFERENCE

This workshop is organized every fourth year, co-sponsored by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS). The previous International Workshops on Connections in Steel Structures were held in Coimbra (Portugal, 2022), Boston (USA, 2016), Timisoara (Romania, 2012), Chicago (USA, 2008), Amsterdam (The Netherlands, 2004), Roanoke (USA, 2000), Trento (Italy, 1995), Pittsburgh (USA, 1991), and Cachan (France, 1987). Workshop attendance is open to researchers, designers, fabricators, and steel industry representatives with significant expertise in the areas of behaviour, strength, and design of connections in steel structures.

The workshops have been uniquely successful, with the publication of one book per edition with high-quality papers. The results and recommendations have had a pronounced influence on standards, codes and practice in a number of countries.
